I think these events are wonderful and raise awareness of this terrible disease. I hope there will be walks in the Tennessee area in the future. Dementia caregivers need to know they are not alone as they struggle to support loved ones with dementia/alzheimer’s.
I am glad to see these events to raise awareness. Since my mom’s diagnosis of Semantic Dementia (just a few months ago), I have been striving to bring awareness to others on this disease. I have been looking for a walk to join, but I haven’t found one in my area yet (Southern California). I would LOVE to participate when I find one nearby!
This is a very worthwhile event for an important cause. We’re proud to support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in San Francisco.
