What is The Longest Day?

The Longest Day logo

The Longest Day is a fundraising event to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. Held annually to honor the summer solstice, The Longest Day symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with Alzheimer’s disease [11] and their caregivers [12]. Participants are encouraged to create their own experience as they fundraise. You can participate in an activity you love to honor someone facing the disease.

What does The Longest Day support?
The Longest Day is an Alzheimer’s Association event and supports the mission of the organization: to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research [13]; to provide and enhance care and support [14] for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health [7]. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s. The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
